SOUTHINGTON, CT — The Board of Education was scheduled to meet Thursday, Oct. 15, at 6:30 p.m. for a Committee of the Whole session, followed by a regular session at 7 p.m. The agenda included an executive session on student matters and five policy items for first reading. Minutes had not been posted as of Friday, Oct. 16.

The agenda included revisions concerning food service and facilities, student discipline, and Promotion and Retention. It also included new policies on emergency action plans at athletic events and Students with Special Health Care Needs.
Other agenda items included town government communications, a personnel report, committee reports, and approval of minutes from Sept. 24 and Sept. 30.
