Property Tax Guide for Orange, CT

Due dates, payment options, and what Orange residents need to know to avoid late fees

Overview

Orange's current mill rate is 29.10 mills for the 2024 Grand List (FY 2025–2026). Real estate and personal property taxes are due in two equal installments, and the town does not mail a second-installment bill.

Important: Orange does not mail a second-installment bill. Your "B" stub from the original bill is your only notice. If you paid your first installment in July, your second payment is still due January 1 — even if you don't receive a reminder. Missing this deadline triggers 1.5% monthly interest backdated to the due date.
