Overview
The Bridgeport Transfer Station at 475 Asylum Street is open to Bridgeport residents year-round, Monday through Saturday. Residents must present a Bridgeport registration or proof of property ownership. The facility accepts household trash, recycling, yard waste, limited construction items, and more. DPW personnel are not available to assist with unloading.

Sticker / Permit Requirements
No sticker purchase is required. You must present proof of Bridgeport residency at the gate:
- Residents: Bring a Bridgeport vehicle registration
- Non-resident property owners: Must bring proof of property ownership and are limited to one trip per day

Hazardous Waste Collection
Chemicals, paint, and hazardous materials are not accepted at the transfer station. Bridgeport holds an annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day. Check the city website for the next event date and location.
