Court-Ordered Electroshock Petitions in New Haven Rose From 9 to 35 Over Decade
New Haven probate courts handled 35 involuntary ECT petitions in the first 9 months of 2025, up from 9 in 2015. Statewide, 174 petitions were filed through September 2025.
