Town Council
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Town Council agenda for Tuesday, Sept. 22, listed discussion of the town’s contribution to the Golden Fox Theater and consideration of a five-year lease. The meeting was listed for 6:30 p.m. in Robert F. Parisi Council Chambers.
The lease proposal was for a storage building at 284 Washington St. to the Connecticut STEM Academy, for $1 per year. The consent agenda included $5,318 in tax refunds, a $20 police donation, a proposed $62,500 transfer from contingency to Information Technology salaries, replacement of First Congregational Church’s sign on the Parade Grounds, and the minutes of September 8.
An amended agenda added two items after the first posting: an executive session on a public security matter, and a motion to waive the bid for the purchase of critical IT infrastructure discussed in that session.
Planning & Zoning Commission
The commission’s special-meeting agenda for Wednesday, Sept. 23, listed a public hearing and discussion on adopting the proposed 2026-2036 Wallingford Plan of Conservation and Development. The meeting was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 45 South Main St., in the Council Chambers. The agenda included possible action to adopt the plan.
Wallingford’s Zoning Board of Appeals Cancelled Its Sept. 22 Meeting
The Zoning Board of Appeals’ regular meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 22, was cancelled, a town notice says. Its posted agenda carried six public hearings: special exception and variance requests for 1549 Tuttle Avenue, a variance for 17 Fawn Drive, and special exceptions for 45 Country Club Lane, 38 Pieper Drive and Ulbrich Steel Inc. at 1 Dudley Avenue. The board’s next regular meeting is Monday, Oct. 19, in Room 315 at Town Hall.
Wallingford Veterans Memorial Committee
The committee’s Monday, Sept. 21, agenda listed the start of planning for Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The meeting was scheduled for 7 p.m. in Room 220 at Wallingford Town Hall. The agenda also set Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. as the next meeting date.
Committee on Aging
The Wallingford Committee on Aging’s Friday, Sept. 18, agenda listed a year-end financial review and Saturday opening plans under old business, and the engagement of Accounting Resources Inc. and a Memory Lane transition under new business. Its next meeting is Oct. 16.
