HAMDEN, CT — Panda Express plans to open a restaurant in Hamden Plaza at 2100 Dixwell Avenue, taking the end-cap section of the former Panera Bread space, The Connecticut Scoop reported. The new restaurant would fill roughly half of that space.
Hamden would be the chain's fourth Connecticut location, the Scoop reported. Panda Express now runs restaurants at Foxwoods and at a travel center in Milford. It has also submitted plans for a location in Southington and is negotiating a lease in Hartford, according to the report.
The chain is known for its orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp and broccoli beef, and its restaurants offer dine-in, takeout and delivery, according to its website.
