Board of Education

The North Branford Board of Education's Blueprint Committee canceled its February 26 meeting, marking the second consecutive cancellation after a January 22 session was also called off. No public explanation has been provided for either cancellation.

The BOE has been active in recent weeks with policy and budget work heading into this period. The Budget & Operations Subcommittee held Budget Workshop #2 on February 11 to review the proposed 2026/2027 budget. The Policy Subcommittee met on February 5 to review Policy P1140, concerning physical restraint and seclusion of students, following a January 7 session on non-discrimination (P0800) and library policies (P3400). Both policy reviews remain ongoing.

Agriculture Commission

The Agriculture Commission last met on January 13 at North Branford Town Hall. The town's Town Manager position remains vacant following Michael Downes' resignation in December 2025.
