New Haven residents can tune into key city committee meetings this week, offering a direct look at how local policies are shaped.

Community Development Committee

The Community Development Committee meets Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Board of Alders Chamber. The session covers urban development, housing initiatives, and neighborhood improvement projects. It will be livestreamed on the Board of Alders YouTube channel.

Joint Legislation/Tax Abatement Committee

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the Joint Legislation/Tax Abatement Committee convenes in the Aldermanic Chamber. The meeting reviews tax abatement applications and legislation affecting local businesses and economic development. The session helps determine incentives for investment and job growth in targeted parts of New Haven.

Legislation Committee
