Meriden YMCA Runs March Savings Promotion for New Members

The Meriden YMCA is offering $16 off monthly membership fees for new sign-ups throughout March 2026 as part of its March Madness Sweet 16 Savings promotion. The deal runs from March 1 through March 31, according to a Patch report published February 27.

New members who join during the promotion receive access to group exercise classes, child watch services during workouts, and summer use of the Mountain Mist Outdoor Center. Discounted rates on programs and camps are also included with membership, though specific pricing details were not provided.

Mountain Mist Outdoor Center Opens for Summer

The Mountain Mist Outdoor Center, located at 576 High Hill Rd. in Meriden, opens for the 2026 season on May 23. The facility operates on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. through the summer, with the same hours on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

The outdoor center features pavilions, basketball and pickleball courts, a pool, hiking trails, a climbing tower, climbing wall, and ropes course. The facility is used for YMCA summer camp programs and is also available for parties, school events, and corporate outings.

Access to the Mountain Mist Outdoor Center is included with a full Meriden-New Britain-Berlin YMCA family, single parent family, or adult membership.

Youth Basketball League Underway

The promotion coincides with the Meriden YMCA's youth basketball league, which began in February 2026 for children ages 4 to 15, according to Patch. The league runs weekly games with teams following a rotating schedule, culminating in a playoff-format final week.

Weekly practices are held at the Meriden YMCA. The program emphasizes skill development and teamwork in an organized setting.

The YMCA also offers Friday night programming for students in grades 6 through 8, which includes basketball, gym games, swimming, racquetball, and dodgeball and basketball tournaments.
