GUILFORD, CT — Guilford voters can cast ballots early for the Nov. 3 election at Town Hall from Oct. 19 through Nov. 1, according to the town's website. Polls will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on most of those days, Patch reported, with longer hours, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Oct. 27 and Oct. 29.
Residents who are not registered can sign up at the Registrar of Voters office until noon on any early-voting day and vote there the same day, Patch reported. Mailed registration applications must be postmarked by Friday, Oct. 16, and online and DMV registrations are due by 11:59 p.m. that day.
Anyone who turns 18, becomes a U.S. citizen or moves to Guilford can still sign up at the registrar's office through noon on Nov. 2. Absentee ballots can be requested from the town clerk's office.
On Election Day, Nov. 3, polling places are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the Secretary of the State's election calendar. The ballot includes governor and lieutenant governor, secretary of the state, treasurer, comptroller and attorney general, along with seats in Congress and the General Assembly, judge of probate and registrars of voters, the calendar shows.
