Blizzard Disrupts Monday Schedule

Four Cheshire boards and commissions were scheduled to meet on Monday, February 23 — the same day a major blizzard prompted Governor Lamont to declare a statewide state of emergency and close all executive branch offices. Cheshire's trash and recycling collection was delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

The meetings scheduled for that evening included a Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing and regular meeting at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, an Energy Commission session in Room 210, a Library Advisory Board special meeting at the Cheshire Public Library, and an Insurance Advisory Study Group meeting at 10:00 AM at Town Hall. The town has not posted rescheduled dates for these sessions as of publication.

The Public Building Commission meets Wednesday, February 25, in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 84 South Main Street.

Water Pollution Control Authority — Thursday, February 26

The WPCA meets Thursday, February 26, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.

Next Generation School Building Committee — Thursday, February 26
