Important: Cheshire does not mail a second-installment bill. If you paid your first installment in July, your second payment is still due January 1 — even if you don't receive a bill. Missing this deadline triggers 1.5% monthly interest backdated to the due date.

Pay at mytaxbill.org. Fees:

  • Credit cards (Amex, MC, Visa, Discover): 2.5% + $2.00 minimum
  • Visa Debit: $3.95 flat fee
  • E-checks: $1.00 flat fee
  • Returned e-check: $15 fee

By Mail

Mail checks payable to "Cheshire Collector of Revenue" to 84 South Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410. A $15 fee applies for returned checks.

In Person / Drive-Up Box

Pay cash at the Collector of Revenue's Office, 84 South Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410. A drive-up box is available in the Town Hall parking circle (available through August 1, 2025, 4:00 p.m.).

DMV Release Note: If you need a DMV release, payment must be made with cash or cashier's check at the office. Online payments take 10 business days for DMV release.

Late Payments & Interest

Interest is charged at 1.5% per month from the original due date per Connecticut General Statutes. Interest must be charged on all late payments and cannot be waived.
