Overview
The North Haven Recycling Center at 90 Elm Street (adjacent to the North Haven Racquet Club) is open to North Haven residents for recycling and waste disposal. No permit is currently required — just bring a valid photo ID with your North Haven address. The facility accepts recyclables, scrap metal, yard waste, and more.

Vehicle Restrictions
The facility is designed for vehicles of 3/4 ton or less: pickup trucks, passenger cars, vans, and station wagons. Larger vehicles are not accommodated.
Hazardous Waste Collection
Hazardous waste is not accepted at the Recycling Center. North Haven residents can dispose of household hazardous waste at HazWaste Central, located at 90 Sargent Drive, New Haven. Check the Regional Water Authority website for current hours.
