Six Arrested in Trumbull After Stolen Car Used in Multi-Town Break-In Spree

Six Bridgeport residents, including four adults and two juveniles, were arrested in Trumbull on March 18, 2026, after police connected them to an overnight vehicle theft spree across Monroe and Trumbull using a car reported stolen from Orange, according to the Trumbull Police Department.

The Overnight Incident

Monroe Police alerted Trumbull officers early March 18 to a vehicle that had been involved in multiple car break-ins in their jurisdiction overnight. Trumbull Police tracked the car — which had been stolen from Orange — to Riverbend Road, where it became disabled near the Route 25 exit ramp to Park Street at approximately 4 a.m.

One suspect was taken into custody at that location. The five remaining suspects fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood.

After 8 a.m., a coordinated search by Trumbull officers and detectives located the remaining suspects hiding near Vista Place and Daniels Farm Road. Police recovered stolen items, including credit cards taken from vehicles targeted in both Monroe and Trumbull.

Suspects and Charges

The four adult suspects identified were:

  • Aden Garrett, 21
  • Maleeik Medina, 20
  • Shaheem Medina, 20, twin brother of Maleeik
  • Paldino Henry, 18

Two male juveniles were also arrested; their names were not released because of their age.

All six were charged with motor vehicle theft, third-degree burglary, possession of stolen credit cards, and related offenses. The adult suspects are scheduled for arraignment in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 26, 2026.

Garrett was held on $100,000 bond due to a prior failure-to-appear on weapons charges. The two juveniles were referred to Juvenile Court and released to their guardians.

Cross-Jurisdictional Response

The arrest reflects a pattern of vehicle theft operations that cross town lines in Fairfield County, requiring coordination between multiple police departments. Monroe Police and Trumbull Police worked jointly on the case, with the original theft occurring in Orange, in New Haven County.

Orange Police did not issue a separate statement on the stolen vehicle. No additional charges related to the original Orange theft have been publicly announced.

Vehicle Break-Ins in Connecticut

Vehicle theft and break-ins have been a persistent public safety concern across Connecticut's suburban communities, particularly in Fairfield County. Law enforcement agencies have increasingly coordinated regional responses to auto theft rings that operate across multiple towns in a single night.

Trumbull Police credited Monroe Police's early alert for enabling the tracking and arrest of the suspects before daylight.
